Part Rebuild Form
From this, to this
We rebuild stators, starters, rotors, alternators, and coils that most shops will not touch. A rebuild is not something you add to a cart, because we are working on your part, not selling you ours. You print the form below, fill it out by hand, and ship it in the same box as the part you want rebuilt.

Print your form
Most jobs use the first form. Only use the high-output form if you want a brand new high-output stator built rather than your existing part repaired.
Part Repair / Rebuild Request Form
PDF, 225 KB, Rev 14
Use this for stator, starter, rotor, alternator, and coil repairs and rebuilds.
How the process works
- ›Print the form and fill it out by hand. Every field you can answer helps us diagnose the part faster and quote it accurately.
- ›Put a complete copy of the form inside the package with your part. This is the step people forget. Without it we have no way to know whose part is on the bench.
- ›Ship the part and the form to our shop in Hampstead, NH. The address is below.
- ›We contact you with a quote once it arrives. Nothing is charged and no work starts until you approve it.
- ›Pay for the work and we get started. Current turnaround is 6 to 8 weeks from the day payment clears.
- ›We ship it back. All rebuilds carry a one year warranty against manufacturing defects unless we tell you otherwise.
The part will be discarded after 30 days of no contact from our initial payment notification, so watch for our email or call.
What the form asks for
Have this handy before you start writing. Nothing here is a trick question, and a phone number we can actually reach you at matters more than anything else on the page.
- ›Your name or shop name, full return address, and country.
- ›A contact name, email, phone, and an alternate phone.
- ›A brief description of what is in the box, so we can match the form to the part.
- ›Vehicle make, model, and model year, and whether the part came off a running machine.
- ›What the machine was doing wrong, in your own words.
- ›The factory specs for the part and which manual you took them from, if you have them.
- ›Any electrical accessories on the bike, such as heated grips, lights, or a winch.
- ›Who you already spoke with here, and how, if you called, texted, emailed, or messaged us first.
- ›The date you shipped it, your signature, and the box acknowledging the rebuild policy. That box is required.
Where to ship it
Rick's Motorsport Electrics, 48 Gigante Drive, Hampstead, NH 03841, USA.
Pack the part so it cannot shift in the box, and put the completed form inside where whoever opens the box will see it.
Shipping internationally? Read our international shipping instructions first. We are not responsible for extra shipping fees, tariffs, or charges caused by a missing HTS code on your paperwork.
Costs to know about up front
- ›Our standard labor rate is $75 per hour with a one hour minimum.
- ›Reverse engineering a brand new part carries a non-refundable $75 per hour minimum fee.
- ›If your part tests good and you decide not to rebuild it, there is a $30 test fee plus return shipping.
- ›Cleaning up a rough core, such as extra dismantling for corrosion or frozen bolts, is billed at the same $75 per hour rate. We estimate as accurately as we can, but some of it can only be assessed once the part is open.
- ›No personal checks. Prices are subject to change with material costs.
